Design themes merchants choose for their stores
Turn your design and development skills into ready-to-sell themes for Zid merchants. Over the past year, theme sales grew by 60%.

Growing demand for themes
Growth compared with the previous year.
13,500+ active stores on Zid
Brands from every industry sell on Zid — every one a potential customer for your solution.
Whatever your theme is for
We have merchants looking for it every day.

A ready market. Continuous usage.
More than 13,500 active stores on Zid, and every new store is looking for a storefront that sells. Merchants find your theme inside their dashboard and install it in one click.
A theme for the whole market, or one for a single merchant
Build public themes any Zid merchant can buy, or custom themes for merchants who need a storefront designed around their brand.

Public themes on the Theme Market
Listed on the Theme Market for every Zid merchant to install on their own. Reviewed by Zid before publishing, with a listing page and pricing, and paid out monthly.
Start a public theme →
Custom themes for one merchant
Built for a specific merchant and not listed on the Theme Market, so there is no listing page and no Zid review: the merchant uploads it to their store with the Upload Theme option. Partners take on custom themes under specific conditions, and they open the door to private design projects with brands.
How custom themes work →Everything is ready for you
Everything you need to launch your theme to thousands of merchants — no external tools, no complexity.

A flexible theme structure
Reusable sections and page templates, so one theme serves more than one industry.

Flexible APIs
Direct access to store data — products, categories and settings — to build a fully custom experience.

Full customization
Complete freedom over the storefront, with presets merchants use to change colours, fonts and sections without code.

Organized version management
Ship updates easily while existing customers stay on a stable version, with a clear changelog.

Complete technical documentation
A full guide to theme standards, how to build and how to publish, with examples and learning resources.

Test before you publish
A development store linked to your account to try your theme on mobile and desktop before you submit it.

Published pricing bands
Sell at a fixed price within approved bands up to SAR 2,000 — your band rises with your excellence ratio.

Recurring revenue, not a one-off sale
You don't sell your theme just once: with the extended warranty, merchants renew every year at 40% of the theme price, so every theme you sell keeps earning, and your annual revenue grows with every new sale.

A market ready for your theme
Your theme is listed in the Theme Market inside the merchant dashboard, installed in one click.

AI-first support, docs and review
We're building an AI assistant for your technical questions, documentation ready for AI tools, and faster AI-assisted theme review.
Your theme reaches the right merchant — on your merit
Rank your theme in the Theme Market through Partner Ads, and Zid's channels work for your theme.

Excellence ratio on your card
Your theme's excellence ratio shows on your card and detail page, and merchants filter and sort by it — quality gets discovered instead of explained, and every improvement lifts your reach.

Theme Market filtering and sorting
Merchants filter by category, presets, price and rating, and sort by newest, most installed and highest rated — so the merchant looking for your kind of theme finds it.

Marketing from our side
Refreshed banners and sections in the Theme Market, content and webinars for merchants, seasonal campaigns, and joint campaigns for qualifying partners.

A stronger theme page and store
We're building a stronger theme page and store: quick preview, try-on against the merchant's current store, theme comparison, a trusted-partner badge and first-purchase offers — all feeding higher conversion for your theme.

Partner Ads — rank your theme in the market
Theme Market ranking runs through Partner Ads: buy your position and time-boxed reach across Zid's merchant-facing channels in published packages. Every paid placement is labelled "Sponsored". Open to partners in the green tier.

One tag on your theme card
Pick a ready tag or create your own — like "Multiple presets" — shown on your theme image and detail page. Tags that claim performance are approved by Zid first, protecting merchant trust.

Theme designers community
A Telegram group for Zid theme designers: technical questions, platform updates as they land, and experience from designers building on Zid.

How do I join as a Theme Partner?
Create your account in the partner portal, create your theme and start from Zid's structure, build and test on a development store, then submit it for review. Once approved it appears in the Theme Market.
Do I need to build a theme from scratch?
No. You adapt your existing designs to Zid's structure and standards, and the docs explain the architecture and requirements step by step.
What's the difference between a public theme and a custom theme?
A public theme is published on the Theme Market for every merchant after Zid review, and merchants buy and install it themselves. A custom theme is built for one specific merchant: it is not listed on the market and has no Zid review, and the merchant uploads it to their store directly. Partners take on custom themes under specific conditions.
What are the theme approval requirements?
Published standards: stability and code quality, performance (browsing speed), compatibility with the Zid platform and merchants' devices, and support level. Review is a technical and functional check, and you get specific notes if something needs changing.
How long does theme review take?
You track your submission's status and the reviewer notes in the partner dashboard at every stage. If the theme needs changes, it comes back with specific notes rather than a blanket rejection.
How is a theme priced?
Pricing sits within approved bands: SAR 300, 800, 1,000 or 2,000. Your band depends on your excellence ratio, and you can price below your band's ceiling, not above it. Merchants buy the theme once, and renew its extended warranty every year at 40% of the theme price, so every theme you sell brings recurring revenue.
What is the extended warranty?
An annual plan the merchant renews after buying the theme, priced at 40% of the theme price and covering support and updates. So your theme does not earn just once: it brings recurring revenue every year from the merchants who renew.
Does Zid take a share of sales?
Yes, applied to every sale, with the details in the Theme Market commercial policy and the partner agreement. Joining itself is free.
How do I get paid?
All sales happen inside Zid only, and you track your sales and next payout from the partner dashboard. Earnings are transferred on the approved payout cycle once your invoice is approved.
What is the excellence ratio and how does it affect me?
It's calculated from theme stability, code quality, issue resolution speed, support level, compatibility, merchant ratings and complaint rate. It has four levels (green, yellow, red, removal) that determine your visibility in the market, your pricing band, and your access to Zid campaigns. The thresholds and details are in the Theme Market commercial policy.
Can I sell the same theme on other platforms?
Yes, provided the theme's price on Zid doesn't exceed the lowest price published for it under the same name anywhere else.
Can I update my theme after launch?
Yes. From version management in the partner dashboard you ship updates with a clear change log, while existing merchants stay on a stable version.
What support is available for designers?
By issue priority, as set in the agreement: Critical — 4 business hours, resolution starts immediately · High — 8 business hours, resolution within 1 business day · Medium — 1 business day, resolution within 2 days · Low — 2 business days, resolution as scheduled. General enquiries within 48 business hours.
You also get the developer docs, the theme designers community on Telegram, and technical support calls.
What if I stop supporting a theme that has users?
Under the Managed by Zid policy: if support stops on a theme with active merchants, or you can't be reached for 30 days, management of the theme transfers to Zid to protect those merchants. That's why we ask for a long-term support commitment before publishing.
How does performance affect theme approval and visibility?
Performance is the gate: your excellence ratio sets your level, your pricing band and your access to Zid campaigns, and it shows on your card for merchants to filter by. Theme Market ranking itself runs through Partner Ads, and every paid placement is labelled "Sponsored".
