Landing pages on Zid: from building a template to payouts and merchant support
How to create a landing page template in the Partner Dashboard, prepare it for review, manage it after publishing, get paid for it and support merchants.
What landing pages are on Zid
Landing pages on Zid are single-product promotional pages that help merchants highlight a specific product or offer. Instead of sending customers to the full storefront, a merchant drives traffic to a focused page built for conversion, which suits campaigns, seasonal promotions and spotlighting bestsellers.
Landing pages are now a partner offering alongside themes and apps, with a similar development and publishing flow. You build a template, and merchants browse, purchase and apply it directly from their dashboard. According to the help centre, publishing one lets you:
- Add value for merchants who want to boost sales of specific products.
- Expand your reach in the Zid ecosystem by showing up in the landing page section.
- Earn from paid templates, with payouts handled through the Partner Dashboard.
- Give merchants a flexible, reusable tool they can customize without custom development.
Creating a landing page template
Landing pages are managed from the Partner Dashboard: expand Themes Analytics, click My Themes, then switch to the Landing Pages tab. Then:
- Click Add, choose Landing Page in the Choose Template Type dialog, enter the name in Arabic and English, and click Create.
- Template file: upload the landing page ZIP package (required).
- Details: the final price merchants pay, an optional discounted price, up to 5 categories, a Preview Store URL showing the page live, an optional Demo Store URL, a short description of up to 280 characters per language, a technical support email, and an optional company website.
- Images: 3 to 9 images in JPG or PNG, plus a featured image.
- Click Save Draft to keep it without submitting, or Submit to Publish to send it to Zid for review and listing.
Required image sizes:
- Desktop screenshot: 4:3 ratio, max 1600×1200 px, min 800×600 px.
- Mobile screenshot: 56.6:100 ratio, max 720×1280 px, min 360×640 px.
Before you submit: testing and quality bar
The help centre notes that landing page testing from the Partner Dashboard isn't available yet. Until it is, test on a development store: in the merchant dashboard open Marketing, then Landing Pages, and import your page with the upload tool. Enable payment methods, shipping and promotions so you can test the page under different store configurations.
- Visual layout: responsiveness on mobile, tablet and desktop, alignment and spacing, and images loading correctly.
- Interactive elements: every button and link reaches its destination, and forms validate and submit.
- Performance: page load time, trimming large images and excess content.
- SEO readiness: meta tags, title tags and image alt text.
- Links and pricing: the preview and demo store URLs load, and the price and discounted price display clearly.
The publishing guidelines also ask for clear, uncluttered messaging, a page optimized for mobile and desktop, professional design and content, and compliance with Zid's terms and conditions, including privacy rules and content restrictions.
Managing your pages after submission
The Landing Pages tab lists all your pages with name, creation date, price, publish date and status. There are four statuses:
- Draft: you've started but haven't submitted.
- Submitted: sent for review, and editing is disabled until the review is done.
- Rejected: Zid's team found issues. Check your email, edit the page and resubmit.
- Published: the page is live and available to merchants.
The edit icon lets you replace the ZIP file, update pricing, categories, links or description, and swap images. However, editing a published landing page requires resubmission and a new review cycle. To unpublish, the publishing guidelines say to switch the Publish toggle off.
Pricing, purchases and payouts
The price you enter in the page details is the final price merchants pay, and you can add a discounted price. To follow sales, open Purchase List and then the Landing pages section. For each purchase you'll see the template name, store URL and name, merchant name, email and phone, amount paid and purchase date. You can search by store name, filter by date and export the whole list to CSV.
Once your page is published and merchants start buying it, you're eligible for monthly payouts:
- 6th of each month: a payout record for the previous month's sales is created, with an email and a dashboard alert.
- Find it under Payments → Payouts → Landing Pages, download the transaction report from Download Report, and upload your invoice from Payout Details.
- By the 10th: payouts are transferred if the invoice is accepted.
- After the 14th: late invoices roll over to the next month's cycle.
Supporting merchants and maintaining the template
Your responsibility doesn't end at publishing. The help centre sets out what's expected of you:
- The technical support email you entered at creation must stay active and monitored.
- First response within 24–48 hours on merchant issues.
- Step-by-step guidance for display issues, mobile responsiveness problems or content rendering errors.
- Help with small customizations such as colour changes or layout tweaks, which the article marks as required.
- Keeping the template compatible with Zid platform updates, fixing bugs, improving performance, and refreshing images and descriptions so they still reflect the page.
Watch your purchase list: repeated support requests from one merchant, or similar reports from several, point to a usability issue worth a proactive update. If volume grows, the help centre suggests an auto-reply stating your response time, an FAQ document linked in your support email footer, and designating someone to handle merchant issues.
Key takeaways
- A landing page is a single-product promotional template merchants buy and apply from their dashboard. Only public landing pages are supported today.
- Create it from My Themes → Landing Pages: ZIP file, then details (up to 5 categories, 280-character description), then 3 to 9 images at the specified sizes.
- Editing a published page means resubmission and a new review, and deletion goes through Zid support only.
- Payouts are monthly: a record on the 6th, an invoice from the Landing Pages tab, and transfer by the 10th once the invoice is accepted.
- Commit to a 24–48 hour first response for merchants and keep the template current with platform updates.
